Mengapa foto ID harus guna satu master sebelum crop berbilang spec

ID photos look like a simple crop task, but a reliable delivery workflow should not process every spec independently from the original. A better approach is to create one corrected master first, then crop passport, visa, one-inch and two-inch outputs from that master. The result is more consistent skin tone, background color, upload files and print sheets.

The master solves consistency

If each spec is processed from the original image separately, face detection, background replacement, smoothing and encoding can vary slightly. A master-first workflow runs color correction, skin-tone normalization and optional light smoothing once, then derives every ID photo from the same stable source.

A crop spec is more than width and height

ID photo standards can define pixel size, physical size, DPI, head ratio, crown margin, shoulder placement and background rules. Cropping only by width and height often creates photos where the head is too large, too small or poorly positioned.

Background replacement belongs to spec rules

White, blue and red backgrounds are not just flat fills. A good ID photo workflow preserves hair and face edges while avoiding color islands around the subject. Letting each spec define allowed background colors makes bg_color=default predictable.

Upload files and print sheets are different deliverables

Upload files care about file size, format, dimensions and DPI. Print sheets care about paper size, spacing, cut lines and labels. Keeping them separate avoids over-compressing print files or accidentally uploading a print sheet to an official form.
